Investec aims to positively impact the lives of the
underprivileged and marginalized people in society through investments
targeted towards this niche. We are not a traditional real estate and
venture capital firm. Our focus is to positively impact as many lives as
possible while maintaining strong returns. We work in both emerging
markets as well as in established economies. Our activities are focused
in the US and in various fast growing Sub Saharan African countries.

typically seeks out high impact ventures so as to create a social
impact while generating sustainable long-term financial returns.
However, we also invest in more traditional businesses that require
growth capital (turnaround capital).
INVESTEC provides growth
capital specializing in US$25,000-US$1,000,000 investments in early to
mid stage high growth companies. We aim to bridge the early stage angel
and venture capital investment gap that currently exists in Africa.
Investec achieves this objective by combining capital with mentorship as
well helping with strategic operational issues and providing solutions
to critical functions as the investee organization grows. Our team of
experienced in house executives are available for investee companies to
tap into so as to facilitate their objectives.
OUR VALUE ADD
We
invest in people – and our investees are our partners. What sets us
apart from other investors is that we do not only invest capital in
organizations with strong management teams, we also provide strategic
direction and enhance operational efficiencies in our investees. In many
cases our investment entities tap into our existing infrastructure
which allows access to excellent in house legal, operational and
accounting teams. This, coupled with our senior management’s guidance
with respect to overall strategy and industry contacts provides an
invaluable resource to our investee partners.
